I understand not wanting the bosses though having all your work destroyed simply because you didn't know what to do is very annoying. Hound waves are pretty predictable, and other combat challenges will wait for you to engage them. After you get a base set up and can survive winter, there's not really much else that can challenge you besides bosses. Once you clear it out, you have literally infinite papyrus for books, since you can just regrow the reeds at will if you ever run out.īosses are an important part of the game, IMO. :D The tentacle reed field is one of the better set pieces, IMO. Been using up the meat, and spikes to farm Werepigs for my piggy-house collection. Oh, and now I have access to most of the Reeds in the center of that trap, easy farming. I got the Deerclops eye, about 60+ Monster Meat, about 7 Tentacle Spots, and 14 Tentacle Spikes. I rolled back to that same day save, and ran to a nearby swamp where I remember there being one of those giant Tentacle Traps(dozens of tentacles in a spot) I left them to it for the night, then had to spend 2 days making trips to collect loot. But I then realized there was a more legit alternative :D Originally posted by Magranon:Nvm, I figured it out I think.
